Made For Us Season 3

Made For Us is back for season three, and this time we'll be talking about ambition. We set out to find the people who have exactly that - founders and innovators who are solving some of the world's toughest problems. Like closing the digital language divide.

The main language we're focused on at the moment is isiZulu. It's one of the most difficult languages for machines to get their heads around. Do machines have heads? You know what I mean. And once we fully crack that language, we know that we'll be able to scale to whatever language is needed.

Designing medical devices that work for everyone.

The first thing is to have inclusivity in mind. To start off thinking that we're gonna design a device that works over the full range of skin tones that are encountered on our planet.

And developing technology to rebuild bodies.

The first prostheses provided to me were crude, passive devices made of wood and foam and composite. I was just dumbfounded. That was really at that time that I began focusing on design and that led to a life's mission to improve technologies like prostheses.

This season, we’ll also speak to investors with big ambitions of their own. To find opportunities others have missed.

We look at where other venture capital firms over index in terms of their investing, and then we choose the opposite people.

And to close wealth gaps.

When women have more capital, they make different decisions that can really have significant impact. I mean, every woman who has capital, no matter how big or small that sum is, has power.
